Fredericia TRINIDAD chair, black/chrome

When designing the Trinidad Chair in 1993, Nanna Ditzel found inspiration in the elaborate fretwork from the Gingerbread Facades that she had seen in the colonial architecture while travelling through Trinidad. The precise transparency of the Trinidad chair almost dissolves in a play of light and shadow, yet at the same time gives the chair bold shape. Trinidad Chair was an immediate success when it was first introduced and was a key driver during the renewal of Danish design in the 90’s.
