Fritz Hansen SUPERELLIPSE dining table

Fritz Hansen's SUPERELLIPSE™ table was created as a collaboration between three famous designers in 1968. The shape of the table comes from the mathematician and artist Piet Hein's solution to the traffic jams of Stockholm's Sergel's square, where he designed an oval-shaped roundabout. The table legs were designed by Bruno Mathsson and Arne Jacobsen. The oval shape of the SUPERELLIPSE™ table makes it easy to place in a variety of dining spaces, and its two models also have the possibility of extension.
