GUBI TYNELL 1967 pendant

The 1967 and 1972 series of pendant lights designed by Paavo Tynell is a continuation of the classic Tynell model of the 1950s. They are available in two shade options: canvas (1967 model) and bamboo (1972 model), both chosen for their durability. The 1972 model has a wider shade that reflects more light upwards. The pendant lights have a decorative brass detail below the shade. The original shade on the 1972 pendant lamp, made of Finnish aspen, has been replaced by bamboo, a visually similar but more renewable material. The bamboo panels are hand-stitched and create a beautiful diffused light. Optional brass counterweights allow for easy height adjustment.
