Fritz Hansen's playful AVION pendant is inspired by its designers' childhood. Aleksej Iskos and Boris Berlin were fond of airships, especially Zeppelin airships floating in the air, which the appearance of the AVION pendant bears a striking resemblance to. Iskos and Berlin wanted to create a lamp whose appearance would naturally fit the sky, but would surprise indoors. The AVION pendant has a simple, streamlined shape and creates a soft light and a natural atmosphere around it. The height and angle of the lamp can be adjusted using two steel cables, and its direction can be changed using an adjustable ceiling cup. The AVION pendant is a striking design that creates playful and calm lighting alone or in a group.
